Born in 1948, Eamonn began painting from an early age. He continued painting regularly until the age of eighteen when he stopped to follow his career. After being made redundant from work in 1999, Eamonn returned to painting again. Self-taught, Eamonn specializes in landscapes using oil on canvas with both brush and palette knife. When not painting landscapes Eamonn paints portraits in pastels or oils. Painting outdoors is Eamonn's passion with favourite locations in Connemara and the surrounding islands of Inishbofin and Achill. He has had five exhibitions to date and has recently opened The School House Gallery in Kilmessan Village, County Meath, where he has resided for the past nineteen years.
