Noreen Walshe
Noreen Walshe is a full time professional painter living near Navan, County Meath. After fourteen years of teaching languages, music and art, she fulfilled her dream to study painting and graduated from the National College of Art & Design in 1992. She exhibits both at home and abroad, and has work in corporate and private collections in Ireland, the United States, Canada, South Africa, and Europe. Noreen draws inspiration from many sources – music, Celtic and other mythologies, the healing and esoteric traditions of earlier cultures and from work trips abroad to places like India, Italy, France and Hawaii. She has also drawn consistently on the rich resources that the Aran Islands, off the West coast of Ireland, have provided over the past twenty years. She works in water colours and oils with a strong sense of line and colour.
