Rose Murray

Having been in the beauty business as a consultant, Rose's career centred fundamentally on the use of colour, mixing, matching and blending. So it was probably natural that, on her retirement she would take the opportunity to realise her talents and creativity in Art. For the past several years she has attended classes and numerous workshops with many tutors, has experimented with several media and finds that she prefers oil and watercolours.
Rose's work is reflective, evocative and pensive. It is a combination of realism with a strong underlying impressionist current. She finds inspiration in nature; landscapes, seascapes, flowers, rural cottages, scenes etc.
She has been an active member of Dunshauglin Art Group and has shown her work in exhibitions in Dunshauglin, Dalgan Park, Cavan and at the former Watergate Street Gallery in Navan. Her paintings have been chosen for inclusion in two successive local calendars.
