Suella Holland

Suella has worked primarily with SX70 Polaroid film for many years, creating impressionistic images through emulsion manipulation but due to the cessation of its production Suella has had to change the medium in which she has been working and has moved on to the ‘new’ instant imaging which is digital photography.

Rather than use imaging software to create impressionistic images Suella is constantly on the lookout for naturally occuring abstract images and intriguing viewpoints which still have an dreamlike, secretive feel and quality to them, that which is seen and unseen.

Suella Holland graduated from DIT School of Photography in 1993 and ran her own photography business for a number of years. This work led her to the publishing/design industry and she now works at The Gallery Press in County Meath. She is a former chairperson of Meath Arts Group and is still an active committee member. She has designed and maintains their website. Suella is also a member of the newly formed Cavan Camera Club.
