Rosnaree House Summer Art Courses

There are two summer art courses running at Rossnaree House:

24th -26th June
Drawing Course of Charles Bargue
with Samuel Horler of the Drawing Studio in Dublin http://www.drawing.ie/

9th -11th July
Painting from Life
Garoid Hayes will be teaching a painting course, which focuses on the figure and portrait. He will be tutoring painting techniques of the old masters in the use of oil paints while promoting the importance of contemporary themes.

The cost per course is €275 including lunch for the 3 days.

New Training Initiative

To all Community & Voluntary Groups

A new training Initiative has been developed by NUI Maynooth and Meath Partnership. This Certificate (Level 7) course entitled ‘Community Work in a Changing Meath’ aims to provide an understanding of community work/community development with a particular focus on Meath. The course is designed for those who are interested in contributing or are active in Meath’s communities and community groups.

Please find attached document outlining the background and further details together with Application Form regarding the course. The Meath Partnership Brochure can be found on the Meath Partnership Website.

The Programme will run from July 2013 to June 2014 on specific dates (Friday evening & Saturdays) in Kells with the initial two modules being delivered at NUI Maynooth. Please note there are bursaries available for fees.

The Community Department of Meath County Council welcomes the development of this Course and encourages active participation.

Please forward this information to all the Members of your Community/Voluntary Group.

Completed applications must be submitted before Friday 31st May, 2013 to Meath Partnership, Unit 7, Kells Business Park, Cavan road, Kells, Co Meath.

Monthly Drawing Classes

Monthly drawing classes will take place, twice per month, on alternate Thursdays and Fridays upstairs in The Central Bar in Navan.

There will be a fee of 5 euro per class and this will be put into a kitty to hire a Life Model every couple of months. There are tables there to work on but you would need to bring along easels and materials.

Dates: Friday, May 24th
Thursday, June 6th
Thursday, June 20th
The class will run from 7pm – 9pm.

Meath Arts Group for Kidz

Monthly Drawing Classes

Monthly drawing classes are being organized for the 3rd Monday of every month.

These will take place in a room upstairs in the Central Bar, Navan. The possibility of life drawing was discussed and it was agreed that commitment would be needed from members to ensure payment of a life model. Peter McKenna agreed to text members to gauge the level of interest.

Meath Arts Group for Kids

Meath Arts Group for Kids is running Art Classes every Saturday in The Central, Navan for 8 to 13 year olds.

All you need to bring is a sketch pad and pencil and your imagination!

The classes take place each Saturday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and are priced at €5 per lesson.
