
On Friday 23rd September, locals and visitors across Ireland will enjoy the unique experience of Culture Night www.culturenight.ie — a free night of entertainment, discovery and adventure taking place in a record 30 towns, cities, counties and islands in Ireland. Museums, galleries, churches, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centres will open their doors late into the evening welcoming people of all ages to taste and sample their cultural delights for free on the evening.
Solstice Arts Centre’s are taking part in this nationwide initiative for the first time with the following events:
National Chamber Choir — 8pm — Programme includes Debussy, Brahms, Chilcott and others. The National Chamber Choir of Ireland is Ireland’s most distinguished choral ensemble, and is celebrated both nationally and internationally for its fresh and innovative sound.
ten thousand words | Ann Meldon Hugh, late night opening and Artists Talks at 7.15pm and 9.15pm
This body of figurative work explores tangible and intangible concepts and emotions central to life, love and survival in modern Ireland. This is a unique opportunity to take a tour with the Artist around the exhibition and hear about her practice, insights, influences and inspirations.
